Maddox Haake and Jayton Jones certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Haake went 8 of 16 on his way to 23 points, while Jones dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Jones is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played.
It was another big night for Everett Bohling, who went 8 for 14 en route to 21 points and seven assists for Lewiston. Grady Weyers was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and three steals.
Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Lewiston, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.
Meridian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-44 defeat against Twin River on the 21st. Lewiston has also already played their next game, a 51-47 loss against Lourdes Central Catholic on the 23rd.
