The Hardee Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 50-43 to Lake Placid. Hardee has struggled against Lake Placid recently, as their contest on Monday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Lake Placid to victory were Dj Bullard and Keveun Mason. Bullard scored nine points along with 17 rebounds, while Mason scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Mason is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Felton, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Hardee has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Lake Placid, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hardee will take on Lemon Bay at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lake Placid won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Oasis Christian at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Oasis Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
