It was a good run, but the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers unfortunately witnessed the end of their 16-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 67-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uniontown. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
When it comes to explaining why Berlin Brothersvalley lost, one person who can't be blamed is Pace Prosser. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 37 points and 11 rebounds. Prosser is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Craig Jarvis, who scored 14 points.
Uniontown's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamire Braxton, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was K'Adrian McLee, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks.
Berlin Brothersvalley's loss ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-2. As for Uniontown, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.
Berlin Brothersvalley will head out on the road to square off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Berlin Brothersvalley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. Uniontown does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
