They claimed a resounding 80-32 win over KIPP Navigate College Prep at home. University Prep Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 24 points or more this season.
University Prep Academy can attribute much of their success to Bereket Woldemichael, who scored 17 points. Woldemichael continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mathias Woodaj, who scored ten points.
KIPP Navigate College Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zephaniah Martinez, who scored six points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Martinez posted two or more blocks. Isaiah Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring six points along with two blocks.
University Prep Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points per game. As for KIPP Navigate College Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
