The Southeast of Saline Trojans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Hillsboro by a score of 62-50. That's another feather in the cap for Southeast of Saline, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Southeast of Saline's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Gannon Jacobson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Jacobson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Owen Bailey, who scored 13 points.
Southeast of Saline's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Hillsboro, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast of Saline will be home for the holidays to greet Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sacred Heart will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. Hillsboro will be home for the holidays to greet Council Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Council Grove comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
