The Chenango Valley Warriors were the 54-49 winner over the Seton Catholic Central Saints when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Chenango Valley received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 66-48 to Seton Catholic Central. While losing is never fun, Chenango Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Seton Catholic Central is ranked 61st).
Seton Catholic Central found their leader in underclassman Allan Eagles, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 rebounds. Eagles continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Drew Erickson, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Chenango Valley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Seton Catholic Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Chenango Forks the next time they take the court. Seton Catholic Central will host Chenango Forks at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Chenango Valley will host them at 7:15 p.m. on January 17th.
