After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Christian County, Union County was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Hopkins County Central Storm by a score of 9-4. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Grayson Odaniel was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Payton Garrett, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Union County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .513. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Union County's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Hopkins County Central, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Union County will square off against Henderson County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Colonels will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Braves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hopkins County Central, they will venture away from home to square off against Livingston Central at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Storm are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
