Sandwich hasn't had much luck against Woodstock North recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Indians will host the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Sandwich's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over Earlville. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.
The result came thanks to Paige Danner's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Jillian Freemon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Abigail Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Sandwich was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are 5-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Woodstock North waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Rockets 3-1.
Woodstock North saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Enot, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That RBI was Enot's first of the season.
Woodstock North pushed their record up to 10-7 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Sandwich, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
