There's no place like home for Bakersfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They put the hurt on the Ridgeview Wolf Pack with a sharp 70-49 victory on Tuesday. The Drillers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

Kade Johnson was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 26 on his way to 30 points and five boards. He has become a key player for Bakersfield: the team is 13-4 when he posts at least 25 points, but 2-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Keshawn Black, who went 5 of 8 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Bakersfield's win bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Ridgeview, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-11.

Bakersfield will face off against Independence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bakersfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully Independence likes a good challenge. As for Ridgeview, they will square off against Highland at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
