Michael Harrison and Jordan Saldana provided fans with a highlight when they connected against McAllen. The longest such play in 5A Region IV District 30 this season, the connection resulted in 95 yards.
Economedes moved up to 542 from 636 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Jaguars were able to make move up by beating McAllen Memorial 28-21.
Edinburg's dynamic duo of Harrison and Saldana proved to be unstoppable against the Bulldogs, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Harrison threw for 253 yards and 2 touchdowns and Saldana had 206 yards receiving.

JUSTIN LANOS was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 154 yards on 15 carries as La Joya lost to Kevin Brewer's team. Teammate JOSE TAPIA added to the ground attack by rushing for 117 yards.

Saldana was the best receiver in 5A Region IV District 30 this week as Joey Caceres' team fell to the Bulldogs.

Edinburg's Harrison and Saldana have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Harrison has thrown for 334 yards this season, while Saldana has 6 catches for 211 yards. LANOS from the Coyotes leads the league in rushing with 195 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Edinburg North takes on Economedes. As it stands, the Cougars are in second, while Gabe Pena's team is in third.
La Joya was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, George Espinoza's team triumphed over Porter 64-0.
