Lincoln had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. Their defense stepped up to hand Dewey a 1-0 shutout. This was payback for Lincoln, who suffered a 6-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dewey's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, Lincoln and Dewey will both be playing Fort Hamilton the next time they take the pitch. The Railsplitters will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Dewey will host them at 10:00 a.m. on the 20th.
