Hopefully Dobbs Ferry is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Barack Obama School for Social Justice in New York (Dobbs Ferry is ranked 155th, while Barack Obama School for Social Justice is ranked 462nd).
Last Saturday, Dobbs Ferry strolled past Irvington with points to spare, taking the game 71-54.
Meanwhile, Barack Obama School for Social Justice didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Irvington on Monday, but they still walked away with a 50-45 victory. The win made it back-to-back wins for Barack Obama School for Social Justice.
Barack Obama School for Social Justice's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dontaye Dunkle Jr., who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Raheem Azeez, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds.
Dobbs Ferry pushed their record up to 13-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.7 points per game. As for Barack Obama School for Social Justice, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8.
Dobbs Ferry was able to grind out a solid win over Barack Obama School for Social Justice in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 60-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dobbs Ferry since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
