John Paul II Catholic's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jamal Biggs, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds, and Caleb Knight who scored 13 points. The matchup was Biggs' ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Latavious Moore, who scored four points.
John Paul II Catholic has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Wayne Country Day, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. John Paul II Catholic and Epiphany will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Epiphany is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Wayne Country Day, they will head out on the road to face off against Cape Fear Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cape Fear Academy will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
