Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Del Norte Nighthawks walked away with it. They had just enough and edged the Pointers out 9-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Del Norte.
Jack Schneider threw for 218 yards while completing 72.7% of his passes. Ty Olsen was his top target, picking up 108 receiving yards. On the ground, Ryan Remigio rushed for 33 yards.
Despite the loss, Point Loma still got an impressive performance from Canon Ogden, who rushed for 105 yards on only 13 carries.
Even if they lost, Point Loma's defense sure didn't make it easy: Del Norte's QB was sacked five times before it was all said and done. In that department, Matteo Correia was the leader with three sacks.
Del Norte's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Point Loma, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
Del Norte will square off against La Jolla at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. La Jolla will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak. Point Loma does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
