This was payback for Central Christian, who suffered a 72-55 loss the last time these two teams met.
Central Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jarrod Harmon out in front who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. That makes it four consecutive games in which Harmon has scored at least a third of Central Christian's points. Isaac Argo was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why Pensacola Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quincy Williams. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Williams is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Stoodt, who scored five points along with five assists and two steals.
Central Christian pushed their record up to 15-5 with that win, which was their third straight at home. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Aletheia Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. Hopefully Aletheia Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 last Tuesday. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Santa Rosa Christian at 7:00 p.m. Santa Rosa Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
