The Bruce Trojans will square off against the Strayhorn Mustangs at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bruce's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Houlka as Bruce made off with a 12-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the game before.

Cole Clark and Sutton Gore made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Clark pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Gore struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). What's more, Clark gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Clark scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3, while Gore scored a run while going 1-for-3. Clark is becoming a predictor of Bruce's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 0-6 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Coby Necaise and Lane Stewart did most of the damage at the plate: Necaise scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Stewart scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs Stewart has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kolbie Collums, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, Strayhorn can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They skirted past Biggersville 5-4.
Like Bruce, Strayhorn also got a great game from a two-way player: Sanders Sowell. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 11 hits. Sowell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, John-Asher Perry was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Landon Brister was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Strayhorn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Strayhorn's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Bruce, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.
