There's no place like home for Chicago Mathematics & Science, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-53 win over Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy on Friday. For Chicago Mathematics & Science, this counts as revenge for the 61-51 defeat Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2023.
Chicago Mathematics & Science found their leader in underclassman Marcus Hughes-Bey, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hughes-Bey has scored all season. Joune Woods was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Chicago Mathematics & Science's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy, they bumped their record down to 0-1 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Chicago Mathematics & Science won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Uplift at 1:00 p.m. on January 20th. Uplift knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Chicago Mathematics & Science likes a good challenge. Alcott/DeVry Advantage Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
