The West Washington Senators were the 51-40 winner over the Crawford County Wolfpack when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. West Washington fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 55-53.
Crawford County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Laken Belcher led the charge by scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. It was the first time this season that Belcher pulled down eight or more rebounds. Blake Seibert was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
West Washington dropped their record down to 6-10 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.7 points per game. As for Crawford County, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-13.
West Washington will head out on the road to square off against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Crawford County, they will be playing at home against the Commodores at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
