The Durand Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They were beaten by Dakota 48-18. Durand was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-8.
Durand's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Rhiannon Robertson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks, and Shiloh Anderson who scored five points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Dakota found their leader in underclassman Bella Keyes, who scored eight points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Madison Binder, who scored six points along with seven rebounds.
Durand's loss was their 20th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-17. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Dakota, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-17.
