Manitowoc Lutheran is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Everything went their way against Kiel as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Lancers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Manitowoc Lutheran never let Kiel on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-12.

Manitowoc Lutheran can attribute much of their success to Lilly Mehlhorn, who had ten digs and one assist, and Morgan Jost, who had five digs and two aces. That's the most digs Mehlhorn has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Manitowoc Lutheran was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kiel only served five.
Meanwhile, Brillion posted their closest victory since September 13th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Valders 3-2.
Brillion was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-13, 22-25, 25-23, 15-13.
Brillion's victory bumped their record up to 28-4. As for Manitowoc Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 31-9.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's contest: Manitowoc Lutheran has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Brillion struggles in that department as they've been averaging 11.5 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
