Gilbert found their leader in underclassman Caia Campbell, who scored 18 points along with 9 assists and 6 steals. The matchup was Campbell's third in a row with at least ten points. Aspen McClees was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Gilbert's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Chaparral, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Gilbert will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Pinnacle at 4:00 p.m. on November 25th. Pinnacle will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Chaparral, they will head out on the road to face off against Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
