The North Central Knights won the last time they faced the Cheraw Braves, and things went their way on Wednesday too. North Central came out on top against Cheraw by a score of 64-54.
Landon Parker was his usual excellent self, scoring 21 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Ethan Diles, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Cheraw saw an underclassman step up: Anthony Strong scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. Those 15 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Dwight Harrington, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds.
North Central is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Cheraw, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
North Central will be playing at home against Lewisville at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lewisville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Cheraw, they will head out on the road to face off against Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday.
