Even though the Dupree Tigers scored an imposing 55 points on Saturday, the New Underwood Tigers still came out on top. New Underwood took their matchup against Dupree 63-55. That result was just more of the same for these two, as New Underwood also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
New Underwood can attribute much of their success to Cash Albers, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Linkin Ballard, who scored 15 points.
The win makes it two in a row for New Underwood and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Dupree, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Underwood will take on Hill City at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dupree, they will be playing at home against Takini at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
