KEIZER, Ore. - A 27-point lead at the beginning of the fourth quarter didn't slow down
Lake Oswego (Ore.) as it put 14 more points on the scoreboard to secure its victory over McNary (Keizer, Ore.) 41-0.
After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by
Justen Ruppe to
Connor Griffin in the first quarter, the Lakers led 14-0 at the half.
Lake Oswego expanded its lead to 27 points entering the fourth quarter. LO scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Ruppe to Griffin.
JB Holmes stood out for the Lakers in the win. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 16 touchdowns on the season.
Lake Oswego had given up an average of 11.6 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Celtics ended with were well below their average of 18.8 coming into the game.
The loss comes after McNary defeated Grants Pass 13-6 last week.
