Aubrey put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over the McKinney North Bulldogs. The Chaparrals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Molly Reid was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Judah Van Rijn and Carmen Alexander did most of the damage at the plate: Van Rijn got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Alexander scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, Alexander posted three hits, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Abby Lynch-Buxton, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Aubrey kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.6 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 contests they've averaged 9.6.

Aubrey's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-0. As for McKinney North, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Aubrey wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 4-3 defeat against Midland on the 28th. As for McKinney North, they will face off against Sherman at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
