The Brentwood Christian Bears suffered their biggest defeat since December 28, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a rough 56-35 loss at the hands of Incarnate Word Academy. Brentwood Christian has not had much luck with Incarnate Word Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Incarnate Word Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Romanczyk, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. Romanczyk has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was McKenna Lutz, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Brentwood Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Incarnate Word Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 20 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 29-6 record this season.
Brentwood Christian will head out on the road to challenge Hill Country Christian School of Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Incarnate Word Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
