Harnett Central is 2-7 against Triton since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Harnett Central Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Triton Hawks at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Harnett Central didn't have quite enough to beat Pine Forest and fell 10-7. Harnett Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Triton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 32-20 to Overhills.
The losing side was boosted by Javon Cowan, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry.
Harnett Central now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Triton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Harnett Central was taken down by Triton 48-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Harnett Central, Eligah Holmes (who rushed for 223 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 carries) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
