Xavier extended the longest winning streak in 4A Mississippi Valley - Valley this week by beating Washington, 35-13. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Saints.
Iowa City West took down Hempstead 76-28 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Jefferson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Layne Sullivan threw for 70 yards and Hunter Kloubec had 33 yards receiving. On the ground Michael Montcivais chipped in 29 yards. Montcivais helped Jefferson's passing attack out by catching three balls for 15 yards.
Jefferson's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sullivan has thrown for 277 yards this season, while Ben Koering has seven catches for 118 yards. Sullivan also leads the league in rushing with 89 yards.
Waterloo East and Waterloo West played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Waterloo East eventually emerging with a 27-21 victory.
