Kade Pape Turns in Season-Best Effort
Kade Pape produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Marion to the win on Friday. Pape rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

Jose Danny Maldonado's rushing tear continued on Thursday as he dropped his third-straight game with 150+ rushing yards dating back to last season. He rushed for 167 yards and a touchdown.
Florence has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Maldonado and Florence will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Luling at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th.

Big Game from Mote As Llano Won 49-0
The second Llano player making an appearance here is Trey Mote, and for good reason. He rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the year, Mote has run in 11 touchdowns while averaging 111.6 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 55.86 rushing yards per game.
