On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, La Jolla beat Canyon Hills 57-51.
La Jolla's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Contreras, who scored 15 points. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lance Braga, who scored 14 points.
Meanwhile, Clairemont put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Monday. They put the hurt on Classical Academy with a sharp 69-47 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clairemont.
La Jolla is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Clairemont, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-10.
