Bozeman hasn't had much luck against Blountstown recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Bozeman Bucks will head out on the road to challenge the Blountstown Tigers at 2:15 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Monday, Bozeman was able to grind out a solid victory over Freeport, taking the game 65-58. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bucks.

Jamie Hernandez and Cash Zirkle were among the main playmakers for Bozeman as the former went 7 for 10 on his way to 21 points and seven boards and the latter went 8 of 17 en route to 23 points and five assists. The dominant performance also gave Zirkle a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Zac Flitcraft, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Bozeman was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Blountstown waltzed into their game on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They enjoyed a cozy 58-44 win over the Blue Devils. The Tigers pushed the score to 50-30 by the end of the third, a deficit the Blue Devils cut but never quite recovered from.
Blountstown found their leader in sophomore Curtis Ellis, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and ten boards. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for Ellis. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyion Smith, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points in addition to six steals and five boards.
Bozeman is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Blountstown, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Bozeman has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 32.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Blountstown struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.3 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Bozeman came up short against Blountstown in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 70-66. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Smith, who went 10 for 15 en route to 23 points along with eight boards and three steals. Now that Bozeman knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
