The Austin Maroons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 64-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dripping Springs. Austin has not had much luck with Dripping Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Austin still got an impressive performance from Maverick Larson, who scored 25 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Larson has scored all season. Baur Lloyd was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Austin has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Dripping Springs, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bowie the next time they take the court. Dripping Springs will host Bowie at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Austin will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
