Spring (Texas) 35-21 on Saturday. The score was the final lead change in a back-and-forth contest that featured two lead swaps.
After trailing 14-7 at the half, the Lions went ahead on a touchdown with 6:00 to go in the third.
Andre Sirles played well for Dekaney in the victory. The senior wide receiver ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown.
DHS also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 41-15.
The defeat comes as a step back for Spring, which notched a 46-19 victory over Deer Park in its previous outing.
Dekaney (2-0) will play a 5A Region II District 13 game against Klein Oak next week, while Spring (1-2) will take on Klein Collins also in a 5A Region II District 13 game.
