Oceanside Collegiate Academy extended their winning streak to three on Friday, bumping them up to 3-2. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 24-20 W against the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes. The 24-point effort marked the Landsharks' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aiden Manavian led the charge by throwing for 285 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt. Terence Johnson was in the mix as well, providing the Landsharks with two TDs.

Another reason for the win was Oceanside Collegiate Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Rhys Meredith, Mike Jones, and Joey Harriott, who each picked up one sack apiece. Meredith was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 17 total tackles.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dutch Fork fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

Despite the loss, Dutch Fork still got an impressive performance from Braydon Johnson, who picked up 73 receiving yards and one score, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground.

Oceanside Collegiate Academy and Dutch Fork should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Carolina Rankings. The Landsharks (ranked eighth) will meet Atlantic Collegiate Academy (ranked 229th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Dutch Fork will take on Chapin at 7:30 p.m. on October 3 with a big rank advantage (1 vs. 97).
