The Fulton Hornets can finally bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 69-68 win over Moberly. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Moberly's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cameron Doubrava, who scored 14 points. Mason Bivins was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists.
He wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Moberly were working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Fulton's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-11. As for Moberly, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-8.
Fulton will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Blair Oaks. Moberly on the road again on Tuesday and play against Kirksville at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
