On Friday, Patriot Prep Academy earned a 56-46 win over Toronto. The victory was all the more spectacular given Patriot Prep Academy's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 496th, while Toronto is ranked 233rd).
Cameron Thomas was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with six rebounds. Dominic Sammons was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five steals.
The win makes it two in a row for Patriot Prep Academy and bumps their season record up to 4-4. As for Toronto, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2.
Patriot Prep Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Weir at 11:40 a.m. on December 30th. Toronto will finish 2023 at home by hosting Steubenville at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Steubenville's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
