The Landrum Cardinals waltzed into their matchup on Friday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They walked away with a 73-65 victory over Chesnee. Given Landrum's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Eagles are ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Franklin Davis continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with eight rebounds. AJ Lindsey was another key contributor, scoring 17 points.
Chesnee lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kaylob Blanton, who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Wease, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Landrum's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-4. As for Chesnee, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-11.

Blacksburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 353 points over their last five matches. As for Chesnee, they will be playing at home against the Blazers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Greer Middle College's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests.
