Samir Crosby Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Greensburg Central Catholic's Samir Crosby, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Crosby rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (102.7). He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble, made eight total tackles, and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
Jeannette's probably not too fond of Crosby given he always seems to get the better of them. When Crosby last faced the Jayhawks back in October of 2023, he rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Jayden Floyd's big game helped extend Leechburg's winning streak to seven on Friday. Floyd was unstoppable, rushing for 143 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 100 yards while completing 88.9% of his passes.
Frazier had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Floyd it was a similar story. When Floyd last faced the Commodores back in September of 2023, he rushed for 107 yards on only 11 carries, and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Effort from Timmy Andrasy Leads Leechburg over Frazier
On Friday, Leechburg got the W thanks in part to Timmy Andrasy playing the best football he has all season. Andrasy rushed for 145 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.
This year, Andrasy has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 82.7 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he was only averaging 11.57 rushing yards per game.

Jeannette had to settle for second on Friday, but Kymon'E Brown sure wasn't going down easily. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making four total tackles and defending two passes.
Jeannette is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3. Brown and Jeannette are on the road again on Friday to play Brentwood at 7:00 p.m.

Drahcir Jones Delivers Electric Effort Vs Springdale
Drahcir Jones's big game helped extend Clairton's winning streak to seven on Friday. Jones did his part (and then some), rushing for 93 yards and two touchdowns for the 'W'. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.
Jones and Clairton will face off against Leechburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jones will face off against Timmy Andrasy, the Blue Devils' star RB. Will the contest be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
