The Guajome Park Academy Frogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 11th straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 56-33 walloping at the hands of O'Farrell Charter. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Guajome Park Academy of the 52-35 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in January.
Leading O'Farrell Charter to victory were Marcelo Cardenas and Rafael Halabaso. Cardenas scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Halabaso scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. It was the first time this season that Halabaso scored 15 or more points. Sador Rusom was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with three steals.
Guajome Park Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season. As for O'Farrell Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guajome Park Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome the Surgeons at 5:00 p.m. on January 31st. O'Farrell Charter will take on the Bruins at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. High Tech CV is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
