Ridgeview hasn't had much luck against Bartram Trail recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:30 p.m. The last four games Ridgeview has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Ridgeview nor Clay made it on the board until the seventh inning. The Panthers had just enough and edged out the Blue Devils 4-2. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by exactly two runs.

Saige Bialek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ridgeview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kasey Watts, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Watts has snagged this season. Another was Nichole Deschamps, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bartram Trail). They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Matanzas on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bears with their most commanding win of the season.
Ella Crouse made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Crouse was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other pitching news, Bartram Trail got a great performance from Rommeney Patrey as she struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk).
Back at the plate, Mallory Cooper was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Andi Gooch was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.
Bartram Trail hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Bartram Trail is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ridgeview, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Ridgeview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bartram Trail struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
