The Charlotte Orioles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 40-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pennfield. If Charlotte hoped to take revenge for the 42-39 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Several Orioles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaelyn Baker, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Peyton Howarth was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Charlotte has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Pennfield, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-7.
Charlotte will take on Central Montcalm at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Central Montcalm is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Pennfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Quincy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
