It was fun while it lasted, but Hope Christian's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Tuesday. They fell 53-45 to the Robertson Cardinals. The loss was the Huskies' first of the season.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bri Bishop, who posted 13 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. Bishop is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Adalynn Day, who had seven points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Robertson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Natalia Martinez, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc on her way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Martinez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Arianna Martinez, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 13 points.

Having lost for the first time this season, Hope Christian fell to 3-1. As for Robertson, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hope Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-32 loss against Mayfield on the 12th. As for Robertson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 52-41 defeat against Clovis on the 12th.
