San Ramon Valley's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Dougherty Valley as San Ramon Valley made off with a 7-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won nine in a row.
The result came thanks to Lila McLeod's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in April of 2024.
At the plate, Kayden West was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Lyons, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
West wasn't the only one working in the hit department: San Ramon Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Dougherty Valley only managed four hits.
Meanwhile, California made easy work of Monte Vista on Wednesday and carried off an 11-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Grizzlies.
Gabriella Nudo looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Shayla Santolucito, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Jayda Crosby was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
San Ramon Valley pushed their record up to 5-1-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 6.7 runs. As for California, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
