The Round Lake Panthers are taking a road trip to  challenge the Woodstock Blue Streaks  at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Neither Round Lake nor Woodstock posted many  runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.
Round Lake can't be to happy about their upcoming road  match considering what happened when they opened their season on the away from home  on Tuesday. They lost  13-0 to Zion-Benton. Sadly, the  loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 17 in a row.
 Round Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Christopher Amaral, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base. That's the most  hits  Amaral has posted since back in April of 2024.
 Meanwhile, Woodstock was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Wauconda, falling  14-2.
 Round Lake skirted past Woodstock  6-5 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Round Lake since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
