Highland Park is 3-0 against Pearce since October of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Highland Park Scots will be playing at home against the Pearce Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. Highland Park will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Thursday, Highland Park strolled past Richardson with points to spare, taking the game 34-15. Given Highland Park's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Richardson is ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Pearce can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-3 win over Irving. The victory was just what Pearce needed coming off of a 56-29 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Pearce to victory, but perhaps none more so than Presley Harper, who threw for 390 yards and six touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jack Mcgarry, who picked up 144 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Highland Park to 8-1 and Pearce to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Highland Park against Pearce when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-10 victory. Will Highland Park repeat their success, or does Pearce have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
