Cooper Cammack made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.
In other pitching news, University got a great performance from Cam Rady as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Rady has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Beckett Suh was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Ryan Castetter was another key player, earning one RBI, one run, and one stolen base.
As for Park Tudor, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 12-9. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
On Park Tudor's side, they saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dominic Gasper, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Coming up, University will welcome Eastbrook at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Trailblazers are on a six-game streak of home wins, the Panthers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind. As for Park Tudor, they will venture away from home to take on Pike at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
