Veritas Christian suffered their closest loss yet this season on Saturday. They fell just short of Wichita Defenders HomeSchool by a score of 42-40. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Veritas Christian in their matchups with Wichita Defenders HomeSchool: they've now lost four in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Gavin Oberzan, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Josh Nadvornik was another key contributor, scoring four points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Kansas School for the Deaf's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 46-34 to Frontier School of Excellence.
Veritas Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Kansas School for the Deaf, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-4.
