After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, The Allen Mustangs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-12 victory over Savanna. The result was nothing new for Allen, who have now won three matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Leading Allen to victory were Bodee Garrett and Brayden Tatum. Garrett threw for 195 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes, while Tatum picked up 101 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Allen's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Savanna, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-6-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Allen will take on Hartshorne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Savanna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Konawa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Konawa is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
