It was a Battle of the Birds when Boulder City took on Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas on Tuesday. The Boulder City Eagles put the hurt on the Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas Falcons with a sharp 74-50 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Sean Pendleton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 12 en route to 20 points. The game was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Birch, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Boulder City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive contests.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kaleb Elliott, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Elliott a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Aranas, who had ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Boulder City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 12-10 record.

Boulder City has already played their next game (against Pahrump Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas will venture away from home to square off against The Meadows School at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Meadows School knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas likes a good challenge.
