After a string of eight wins, the Logan Grizzlies's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Ridgeline by a score of 53-50. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Logan in their matchups with Ridgeline: they've now lost nine in a row.
Carson Cox was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with seven rebounds for Ridgeline. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cox has scored at least a third of Ridgeline's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jagger Francom, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Logan's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Ridgeline, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
Logan will head out on the road to take on Mountain Crest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Kaden Hess and Jordan Child. As for Ridgeline, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Green Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Green Canyon is ranked 20th, while Ridgeline is ranked 24th).
